In this page I will post updates on fund raising, events and my progress on the road to South Africa.

The 2 photographs above are from the day Gail and I set up a stall at Ascot car boot sale. Our friend Carl kept us right with finding a good spot to set up and gave us sound advice on what prices to ask. It was an early start though, we had to be there for 5.30 am but it was well worth it. We managed to make £160 from a combination of collectibles given to us by George (my Dad) and Pauline (my Aunt) and a bunch of DVDs I  had.. We’d like to say thank you to a lovely gent called John who told us great stories about his experiences in South Africa in his youth who, a couple of hours later, returned and donated an antique camera for us to sell..

Got a visit from my friend Debbie who donated a whole bunch of books for me to sell on-line. There’s a company called greenmetropolis which basically recycles books for a small fee.

Will let you know how much I get for the books Debs, thanks

We’ve gotten into the merchandise business; I ordered 100 key  fobs into which Gail and I put little Enduro photographs. We’re selling these at £2.00 each; if you’d like one drop me an email.

On the 27 of September I went for my first ever off-road lesson. I went with Ted who is also going to South Africa. The venue was half way up a mountain (almost) in north Wales and was run by a Dakar rider called Mick Extance. We got to ride some brand spanking new Honda CRF 250s through mud and dust. I left some skin behind and brought home a couple of bruises but still had a great time.

Thanks to Steph for sending the photos of the day.

Have a look at the gallery.                                                 Check out  Ted’s site too
